Starstone Software Systems, Inc. independently creates science and novelty educational software for desktop and mobile platforms. At Starstone, Science Rocks!
Starstone itself is largely an effort of midnight engineering by Richard S. Wright Jr. My specialties are computer graphics (esp. OpenGL), and cross platform technologies for Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android. I was the lead author of the OpenGL SuperBible for the first five editions, and taught graphics programming for 15 years at Full Sail University. I’ve worked on many commercial projects including scientific and medical visualization, simulation, and large scale distributed database systems.
I’m currently a full time contractor for Software Bisque, helping to make the worlds best astronomy and imaging software. I am also available for small part-time development and consulting projects. When not occupied with these things, I’m usually busy with my own development or writing projects. You can contact me at email@example.com.
