Night Lights, Screen Saver (Free Download)
 Night
Lights is a Windows Screen Saver that displays a
rotating image of the Earth showing night time urban
illumination (city lights). This image of Earth’s city lights was created with data from the Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP) Operational Linescan System (OLS). Originally designed to view clouds by moonlight, the OLS is also used to map the locations of permanent lights on the Earth’s surface.

Eye
of the Storm, The Screen Saver (Free download)
 This
Windows (95/98/ME/2000/NT/XP) screen saver displays a
stunning 3D rotating globe with any active Tropical
Depressions, Tropical Storms, or Hurricanes plotted in
their last reported positions (this feature requires
your own Internet connection). The image of the earth
is from Arc Science Simulations Face of the Earth™
project. A much higher resolution version of
this same image is used in Eye of the Storm™ 2002
for realistic earth mapping. Version 2.3 now
available, with minor tweaks and fixes.
